METODIJA GJORGJIEV

CELLO

Metodija completed his secondary music education at the SMBC Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje, in the class of Prof. Dimche Stojanovski. In 1995 he was the recipient of the 1st prize at the National Cello Competition. In 1998 he attended a chamber music seminar in Weikersheim, Germany. Metodija graduated from the Faculty of Music in Skopje in 1999, in the class of Prof. Dushka Tasevksa, in whose class he also completed his Master’s studies. He was a member of the piano trio Equinox, performing in Skopje and other cities in the country. In 2003 he performed a recital at the festival Autumnal Musical Festivities.

He is a permanent member of the Macedonian Philharmonic since 2006.
