GJORGJINA POPOVSKA

VIOLIN

Gjorgjina began her music education in Bitola, under the tutelage of Prof. Zoran Manev. She graduated from the Faculty of Music in Skopje in the class of Prof. Ljubisha Kirovski.

During her music studies she is the recipient of awards at many national and international competitions. She was also a member of many chamber ensembles and orchestras associated with the Faculty, as well as others.

In 2012, she was a scholarship holder and attended the Ciaccona course in London, which is held every year by Dona Lee Croft, professor at the Royal College of Music in London.

In 2015 she performed as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic.

In 2016 Gjorgjina took part in the summer camp of the International Menuhin Music Academy, led by Maxim Vengerov at the Ohrid Summer Festival.

During her university studies, she was also a concertmaster of the Orchestra of the Faculty of Music, collaborating with the eminent Maxim Fedotov, Gernot Winischhofer and Stefan Milenkovic.

Since 2016 Gjorgjina is an active member of the film music orchestra F.A.M.E.’s, as well as the orchestra of the Macedonian Philharmonic. She became a permanent member of the Philharmonic in 2019.
