Јеремиjас Флидл
With his “technical brilliance” (Concerti) and “soulful expression” (Klassik Heute), Jeremias Fliedl has established himself as one of Austria’s most sought-after cellists. He has appeared at major festivals including the Salzburg Festival, Mozartwoche, Schubertiade Hohenems, and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival. As a soloist, he has performed with the Brussels Philharmonic, Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, Bremer Philharmoniker, Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, and the Danish Chamber Orchestra, collaborating with conductors such as Stéphane Denève, Ádám Fischer, Thomas Guggeis, Thomas Sanderling, and Emmanuel Tjeknavorian. Born in Klagenfurt in 1999, Jeremias Fliedl studied with Heinrich Schiff, Clemens Hagen, and Julian Steckel. His debut album “Transformation“ (Berlin Classics), released in 2024, was widely acclaimed by critics: “a sumptuous feast of cello timbres” (BBC Music Magazine), “brilliant” (Die Presse), “captivating” (Salzburger Nachrichten). He is the first Austrian cellist to be named a laureare at the Queen Elisabeth Competition and has been playing the 1693 “ex Gendron” cello by Antonio Stradivari, generously made available to him on private loan, since 2022.
