Magdalena Drmac

Magdalena Drmac, born on 15.11.2006. At age of 8 she started playing the cello at the Primary Music School - DMBUC " Ilija Nikolovski Luj", Skopje, in the class of professor Aleksandra Janevska. In period from 2015 to 2023 she participated in many competitions where she won many first prizes. Most of them were with international, as well as in state and regional competitions. The comepetitions were held in North Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Russia, USA… In 2021 she was the Laureate of the Open Europe Festival in Moscow. In the same year she performed as a solist with the Macedonian Philharmonic, and in 2022 she was chosen again. She was awarded the prize for the best student of the string department in DMBUC "Ilija Nikolovski Luj". She is also the Laureate of the Polyhymnia 2023 Festival. Magdalena also performed in Rome, Italy 2023 as part of the State's delegation in honor of St. Cyrill and Methodius. She attended many masterclass with great professors as: Stefan Popov - U.K Gal Faganel - Slovenia Vida Vujic - Austria Erich Oskar Hütter - Austria Atanas Krastev - Bulgaria Milutin Mladenovic - Serbia Aleksandar Kuzmanovski - Slovenia Militiadis Cassaros - Greece She participated in JMM Chamber orchestra "Sasha Nikolovski - Gjumar" and "Nonet +", DMM "Ajga" and was also part of the project Musica un Ponte tra i Popoli, Forli, Italy, 2022. She is also the leading cellist in the Symphony and Chamber School Orchestra.
