Frosina Bogdanoska (Violin)

Frosina Bogdanoska was born in 1986, in Veles, North Macedonia in artistic family in whose nest, at the young age of three, she makes the first steps and accomplishments in the playing of the violin.

During her academic years she has received numerus awards at competitions for young violinists and has been invited to play as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, The Young Orchestra of the Central European Initiative CEI, as well as with other chamber ensembles.

She started her primary music education in the class of her mother, Marija Bogdanoska, and completed it in the class of professor Sihana Badivuku – Hoga. In 2001 she attended music classes and seminars at the National Music Conservatory in Toulouse, France studying with Prof. Blagoja Dimcevski .

She received her graduate and postgraduate CUM LAUDE degree in the class of Prof. Ljubisha Kirovski at the Music Faculty in Skopje.

In 2010 she won a scholarship and a postgraduate studies placement at the Royal Academy of Music in London and in 2012 she enrolled in the specialization studies at the Faculty for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria in the class of Prof. Anton Sorokov.

She is a member of the Zoografski Quartet, the Ignatz Fuchs ensemble and has performed in Germany, Austria, Turkey, Slovenia, France, Croatia, Belgrade and USA.

Until recently she was a member of the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and guest member of the Wiener Symphoniker. As of 2018 she is a member of the Carinthean Symphony Orchestra in Klagenfurt, Austria where this season she serves as a leader of the first violins.

She plays on a violin made from her father, the renown luthier Svetozar Bogdanoski.
