FIRST TRUMPET

Stefan was born in 1996 in Kavadarci. He showed great interest in music and the trumpet as an instrument when he was very young and started to play the trumpet in 2004 at the music school in the class of Prof. Zlatko Jovanov and Prof. Pere Melov. He showed results very quickly, receiving numerous prizes at many competitions.

In 2011 he started his secondary music education at the Music High School Sergej Mihajlov in Shtip in the class of Prof. Baze Kostadinov. With dedicated work he completed his secondary education as the valedictorian of his generation. In 2015 he continued his studies at the Faculty of Music in Skopje, in the class of Prof. Vaso Ristov.

Stefan has performed as a soloist with many orchestras. In 2015 he performed with the orchestra of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Besides his activity as a soloist, he also performs regularly with a chamber brass quintet. In 2016 he performed with Ensemble Modern in Wolfenbuttel, Germany, an orchestra specialised in contemporary music. The same year he was also a part of the project Give Music a Future in Vilnius, Lithuania. In 2017 he was awarded the 1st prize at the international competition Ohrid Pearls in Ohrid. As part of the prize, Stefan performed in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he performed with an orchestra in the prestigious Symphonic Hall. In 2017 and 2019 he performed as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic. He has also performed at the Zlatna Lira festival, Days of Macedonian Music and other concerts and events. In 2019 he graduated from the Faculty of Music in Skopje and at the moment is working on his Master’s degree in the class of Prof. Vaso Ristov. He is a permanent member of the Macedonian Philharmonic, the Skopje Brass Quintet, collaborates with the Association of Jazz Musicians. Stefan has won 23 awards at national and international competitions, most of them 1st and special prizes.

He spends his free time practicing the trumpet, watching films and taking walks in nature.
