BOJAN ILKOSKI

VIOLIN

Bojan was born in 1992. He started playing the violin as a student of the SMBC Ilija Nikolovski Luj in Skopje, where he completed his primary and secondary education, receiving his first lessons at age 7 from Prof. Rumen Dimitriev and Zoran Dzorlev. He graduated from the Faculty of Music in Skopje in the class of Prof. Oleg Kondratenko.

Bojan has performed extensively in the country and abroad: Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria. He has also performed as a soloist with the Macedonian Philharmonic, as well as the Chamber Orchestra of the Faculty of Music. In 2009 he performed his first recital at Daut Pashin Hammam. He formed a duo with the pianist Dino Imeri and performed in Macedonia and abroad: at the European concert organised by the Music and Ballet Pedagogues of Macedonia, the official opening ceremony of the competition Ohrid Pearls in 2015, at the festival A-fest in Novi Sad, at the Culture and Information Centre in Skopje in 2013, at the Spanish Embassy by invitation of the Ambassador Fernando de Galainena Rodríguez. During his professional life, Bojan also performed a few recitals for solo violin, without piano accompaniment, which are of exceptional importance and represent a great challenge for each instrumentalist. These recitals were also performed at the festival Zlatna Lira in 2017. While a part of the chamber and symphonic orchestra of the Faculty of Music, he has performed in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a chamber musician he collaborates with renowned musicians, such as Francis Duroy and the eminent cellist and conductor, Mark Coppey. He has also collaborated with the violinist Sreten Krstić, concertmaster of the Munich Philharmonic. Bojan is a member of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Jeunesses Musicales Macedonia, collaborating with distinguished conductors: Sasha Nikolovski-Gjumar, Misha Katz, Borjan Canev, Dijana Ilkoska, Elena Mitrevska, Emilio Percan (performances at the Ohrid Summer Festival, Interfest in Bitola, Skopje Summer Festival).

Recently he became a member of the symphonic orchestra of the Macedonian Philharmonic, as well as a member of the film music orchestra F.A.M.E.’S.
