Mojca graduated in her home town of Skopje. She specialised percussion instruments in 1995 at the State Music Academy in Sofia, in the class of Prof. Dobri Paliec, PhD, and earned her Master’s degree at the same academy. She completed her specialist studies in chamber music in 1998.
She had her first experience as an orchestral musician, when she was only 16 years old, in the City Wind Orchestra, and later in the Dance Orchestra of the Macedonian Radio and Television, Macedonian Opera and Ballet and the Macedonian Philharmonic. She became a permanent member of the Macedonian Philharmonic in 1994. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed in England, Canada, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, etc. Mojca collaborated in different projects, as well as different music genres with Heinz von Moisy, Ray Charles, Rhani Krija, Tavitjan Brothers…
Mojca is one of the most active musicians of her generation, promoting interpretation on different percussion instruments. Many authors, inspired by her creative performances, have dedicated compositions to her.
She has been awarded a prize at the international competitions The Music and The Earth and the special prize for interpretation of the Composer’s Association of Bulgaria in 1998. In 1998, she also received a recognition for the presentation of the thesis “Chamber Music for Percussion Instrument” by the Performing Arts Centre Multimedia, and in 2001 a recognition for her work as a pedagogue by the International Competition Paliev – Fink. In 2006 she was presented with the Georgi Bozhikov award by the Composer’s Association of Macedonia.
She is a professor at the Faculty of Music in Skopje since 1998 and also teaches at the national universities in Pristina and Tetovo. She is the founder of the percussion ensemble Sonant in 1998.
Mojca loves nature and enjoys traveling. She is one of the first women delta plane pilots since the end of the 1980s.
