Milena Arsovska
Hailed as a "representative of the young generation of quality singers" with a "sparkling clean voice," Vienna-based Macedonian soprano Milena Arsovska began her career at a very young age at the Macedonian National Opera. She graduated from the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Music in Skopje with a bachelor's degree in music cum laude and holds a master's degree from the MUK, University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She continued her studies by participating in master classes with renowned singers such as Mariella Devia, Krassimira Stoyanova, Claudia Visca and Ilko Natchev. Milena Arsovska started her 2024/25 season with great success as soprano soloist in the 2 marvelous peaces, Mahler's 2nd Symphony and Beethoven's Missa Solemnis with the Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia in Bogota. This season she will also make her debut in Puccini's "La Boheme" as a guest of the Teatr Wielki w Lodzi in the role of Musetta. At the beginning of the new year she will make her debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana in a New Year's Gala Concert in Palermo. Her engagements at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg this season include the roles of Glauce in Medea, Sophie Scholl in Die Weiße Rose and Michaela in Carmen. Operatic highlights of the past seasons include Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar and the Theater Luzern, Violetta in La Traviata and Ariel in The Tempest at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre Ostrava, Nightingale in Le Rossignol at the National Theatre Prague, Marzeline in Fidelio at the Operbühne Württembergische Allgäu, Gretchen in Der Wildschütz at Theater Magdeburg and Göthe Theater Bad Lauchstädt, Koko in Le nozze di Figaro and Seconda Cercatrice in Suor Angelica at Theater an der Wien and Nanetta in Falstaff, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Valencianne in Die lustige Witwe and 4 Magd in Strauß' Elektra at Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, where Milena has been a member of the ensemble since the 2023/24 season. Milena Arsovska has had the opportunity to work with world-renowned conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Krill Petrenko, Rani Calderon, Jan Latham-Koenig, Cornelius Meister, Kirill Karabits, Artur Fagen, Daniel Raiskin, Yeruham Scharovsky, Michael Balke, Enrico Calesso and Erwin Ortner. She has been a finalist and winner of various singing competitions.
